This Month in the TLC

Lots of exciting things happening in the month of April:
*students are continuing to add work samples to their MCAS Alt. Portfolios
*Reading- students are completing story maps on a variety of fiction stories.
*5th graders are working on Biography Projects-highlighting important info, and filling out graphic organizers on their famous person.
*Math- measurement. Students have already worked on a variety of activities using inches. Now, we have been working on measuring distances with feet!
*Science- students will be starting our next unit on Magnets this month
*Social Studies- students will start a short unit on Government and what Gov. does and does not do.

Important Dates:
*5th grade Smarts Exhibit is April 16th and 17th!
*5th grade parents- Transition meetings this month. Notice sent home with meeting date.
